Also this year we offer the opportunity to communicate for and with refugees in the REFUGEE CAFÉ (second floor) in Alleestraße 46 in Bochum. In addition three computer working stations with free internet access will be available from 15:00 to 18:00h. Free biscuits, cold and warm drinks will be provided and a nice team of volunteers will answer all your questions.

The Refugee Café is open to everybody who wants to meet people and practice their language skills.

Dear club members, dear friends and supporters of Zen-Ki-Budo e.V.,
we point the way to a multicoloured Germany worth living in! The current incidents in Europe and the rest of the world keep showing us: a tolerant, metropolitan, respectful and integrative culture of welcome is essential for a peaceful communal life in our country. The feeling of being welcome along with early integration of new immigrants who had to leave their home country due to most different reasons is an important factor for respect- and peaceful communal life in NRW.
We, Martial Arts School Zen-Ki-Budo e.V., want to set an example and take a stand against racism, xenophobia and discrimination. Thus, we welcome refugees to NRW and provide them a special welcome offer in our martial arts school.
Every wednesday from 18:00 to 19:30h a free Jiu Jitsu training session for refugees will be held in our training centre. Our training centre in Wanne-Eickel / Röhlinghausen can be reached easily with buslines 368, 390, 385 and 329.
Also our club members are invited to join this training session to promote refugees' integration, dismantle language borders, live an active culture of welcome and – as a bonus – have one additional day of training. As our Dojo (training centre) does not provide unlimited space we ask you, dear members and interested refugees, for a short registration for the training via e-mail to info@zen-ki-budo.de.
If you want to support our commitment with a small donation you just need a few clicks. For this purpose we have opened a PayPal-Account. Just log in to PayPal and send your donation to the e-mail address info@zen-ki-budo.de with reference to „Flüchtlingshilfe“. Every single Euro matters! The consulting is carried out by volunteer in the VHS, room 037.

Climate change, civil wars and poverty are forcing people to emigrate. People leaving their homeland often suffer mentally and sometimes physically and find it difficult to start a new life in their "new" home.

The discussion group is about sharing this feeling "between two chairs", exchanging ideas and finding ways to cope with a life between "old" and "new" homeland.

Taking exercise together: The Bochum sports club Karate Bubishi offers a programme for refugees organized by volunteers. Every friday from 18:30 to 20:00h the club offers a common training for refugees and clubmembers in Erich-Kästner-Gym, Markstraße 189. The idea is to promote integration and contribute to meaningful freetime activities for refugees.
